Caryl's Studio of Performing Arts

Meet the Instructors
Caryl began dancing at the age of three at Emerald Hills Studio of Performing Arts in Hollywood, Florida under the direction of Debbie Montgomery. She danced all through high school and went on to minor in dance at the University of South Florida, specifically in modern dance. She began teaching when she was 15 years old and has been teaching ever since in all forms of the performing arts. She began to sing at the age of four and took private voice lessons with teachers Jan Reiff and Richard Crawford in the Hollywood area. She then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of South Florida and trained with Theresa Andrasy, Dr. Lynn Gackle and Dr. Zelienski. She has performed in Musical Theatre productions such as “The Wiz” (Dorothy), “Charlotte’s Web” (Martha), “Grease” (Rizzo), “Peter Pan” (Peter Pan), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (Narrator) and “Cats“. She has also performed in operas such as “Die Fledermaus” (Sally), “La Rondine” (Chorus), “The Magic Flute” (Little Boy), “Romeo and Juliet” (Chorus), and “Macbeth” (Witch). She has also done technical work for shows and was the stage manager for numerous shows throughout her college career. She is also a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and has been seen in many TV commercials since she was a child.  You may have also seen her in print adds from all over the world ever since she was a child.
Caryl enjoys teaching children of all ages and decided to pursue her career in teaching since she loves to give others her passion for the performing arts.  She feels that all aspects of the performing arts intertwine together to make beautiful art and feel it is a blessing to share it with her students.  She feels that children who can challenge themselves creatively can also challenge themselves in many other ways due to the confidance they achieve.  She takes great enjoyment in watching her students shine through her work.
